MENINGKATKAN KONSISTENSI PENERAPAN GREEN CONCEPT MANAGEMENT PADA UMKM DI KOTA MATARAM

Abstract

Pemerintah Indonesia mengatakan UMKM merupakan critical engine pembangnan ekonomi. Kenyataannya, UMKM merupakan sumber sampah terbesar di Indonesia yang didominasi oleh sampah makanan dan minuman. Hal itu mengakibatkan kualitas lingkungan Indonesia buruk. Salah satu penanggulangan kerusakan lingkungan dari sampah dengan menerapkan manajemen green concept. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan kepada UMKM kuliner di Kota Mataram selama tiga bulan yang melingkupi identifikasi, sosialisasi, fasilitasi, dan evaluasi penerapan manajemen green concept. Dimensi yang diukur antara lain, jumlah timbunan sampah, keuntungan ekonomi dari daur ulang, penggunaan bahan ramah lingkungan, pengurangan pencemaran lingkungan, dan pengelolaan sampah organik. Hasil menunjukkan pelaku UMKM semakin memahami ruang lingkup green concept dengan sosialisasi. Fasilitasi yang diberikan dapat dimanfaatkan dengan maksimal oleh pelaku UMKM. Proses penerapan manajemen green concept menunjukkan konsistensi oleh pelaku UMKM. Sehingga pelaku UMKM sebagai mitra dapat memenuhi lima dimensi evaluasi, sampai pada mampu mengelola sampah organik menjadi pupuk. Kegiatan pengabdian ini terbatas dengan tidak menyertakan pemerintah daerah, diharapkan kegiatan selanjutnya dapat mengintegrasikan pihak-pihak terkait.
