EDUKASI DAN PEMERIKSAAN DINI KADAR AIR, MINYAK, DAN HIDRASI KULIT : LANGKAH AWAL STRATEGI PROMOTIF-PREVENTIF TERHADAP PERMASALAHAN KULIT PADA MASYARAKAT

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat lansia terhadap kesehatan kulit melalui edukasi dan pemeriksaan dini kadar air, minyak, dan hidrasi kulit sebagai langkah awal strategi promotif-preventif. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah kegiatan skrining non-invasif menggunakan skin analyzer pada 99 partisipan lansia di Gereja Asisi, Jakarta Selatan, yang mencakup penyuluhan, pemeriksaan kadar air, minyak, dan hidrasi kulit, serta edukasi mengenai perawatan kulit dan faktor risiko kulit kering. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan mayoritas peserta perempuan (71,7%) dengan rerata usia 71,85 ± 8,08 tahun; 30,3% partisipan memiliki kadar air kulit kategori dry, 62,6% oily; 66,7% memiliki kadar minyak berlebih; dan 79,8% termasuk kategori hidrasi moist dengan rerata hidrasi 54,28% ± 7,91. Temuan ini mengindikasikan variasi karakteristik kulit yang signifikan berdasarkan usia dan jenis kelamin, serta pentingnya intervensi edukatif dan perawatan kulit yang sesuai dengan kondisi individu. Simpulan, program pengabdian ini efektif meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai kesehatan kulit, mendukung identifikasi dini masalah kulit, serta menjadi dasar strategi promotif-preventif yang berkelanjutan di tingkat komunitas.
