PILAR EKOSISTEM PESISIR YANG KUAT MELALUI AKTIVITAS PENANAMAN MANGROVE DAN EDUKASI MANFAATNYA BAGI LINGKUNGAN

Inisiatif pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat ekosistem pesisir. Penanaman mangrove dilakukan di wilayah pesisir yang kualitas ekosistemnya menurun karena aktivitas manusia dan perubahan iklim. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah wilayah pesisir Kelurahan Moengko, Kecamatan Poso Kota, Kabupaten Poso, Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Sasaran penerima manfaat langsung dari program ini yaitu masyarakat kelurahan Moengko dan Kelompok Binaan PT Pertamina Patra Niaga di ring 1 wilayah Operasional FT Poso . Aktivitas ini mencakup penanaman bibit mangrove, pemilihan lokasi yang tepat, dan pelatihan masyarakat lokal tentang pentingnya mangrove untuk melindungi pantai, mengurangi erosi, dan memberikan habitat bagi spesies laut. Edukasi diberikan melalui workshop yang melibatkan komunitas lokal, dengan fokus pada manfaat ekosistem mangrove, teknik perawatan tanaman, dan efek positifnya pada masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat lebih memahami mangrove dan lebih menyadari pentingnya konservasi pesisir. Penanaman mangrove meningkatkan keberagaman hayati di daerah pesisir dan menciptakan area perlindungan pantai yang lebih stabil.
