HUBUNGAN MEKANISME KOPING DENGAN TINGKAT STRES PADA KORBAN PASCABENCANA BANJIR DIKOTA PADANG TAHUN 2026

Abstract

Banjir dapat menimbulkan dampak psikologis yang berlanjut pada fase pascabencana, termasuk stres dan penggunaan strategi koping yang kurang adaptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan mekanisme koping dengan tingkat stres pada korban pascabencana banjir di Kota Padang tahun 2026.  Penelitian menggunakan desain kuantitatif deskriptif-analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada 2–13 Juni 2026 terhadap 81 responden yang dipilih menggunakan simple random sampling dari populasi sebanyak 430 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terpimpin menggunakan Brief COPE dan Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS-10). Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji Chi-Square.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat stres terbanyak berada pada kategori sedang sebanyak 36 responden (44,4%), sedangkan mekanisme koping terbanyak berada pada kategori maladaptif sebanyak 61 responden (75,3%). Pada kelompok stres sedang, 29 responden (80,6%) menggunakan koping maladaptif, sedangkan pada kelompok stres berat sebanyak 27 responden (87,1%). Uji Chi-Square menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara mekanisme koping dengan tingkat stres (χ² = 14,653; df = 2; p = 0,001). Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya pemantauan kesehatan mental dan penguatan mekanisme koping adaptif sebagai bagian dari dukungan psikososial pada fase pemulihan pascabencana
